Several newfangled parties are appearing, such as that of Mary Karystianou, claiming the possession of power and advocating the prevalence of truth.
Politics constitutes a particularly complex and multifaceted phenomenon, despite the glossy appearance of politicians in the Mass Media, as it requires to synthesize, process and know cumulatively the domestic and international political scene, the historical past as a prerequisite of the future policy being fought, being constantly and accurately informed in the context of a rapidly changing political environment.
This becomes clear when one takes a casual look at the domestic and international political current affairs, which are based on solid political foundations and rational evidence and not on a rhetorical rhetoric of slogans.
The project of engaging the would-be third party in politics purely as a way of subjective release of his or her stymied ego or subsequently resorting to the ensuing political publicity merely as a manifestation of psychopathological relief, inevitably leads any attempt at political action to abject failure, because the essential spring and the self-purpose of the acting person’s involvement in politics is his self-promotion – in other words, the intimate satisfaction of his narcissistic self-ego and not the serious collective representation of the people.
Aware of the peculiar responsibility of the task requires special attention and, in principle, historical consistency, in helming the country as an arch-candidate, aligning by necessity with traditional alliances, shoring up in the process the long-standing and arrogant bilateral diplomatic relations between the various states around the world.
Thus, if by contrast, the descent into the political arena is merely the sum of repressed unrealistic individual ambitions, a utopian conception of politics, which is simply articulated in a demagogic populist rhetoric, inarticulate rants, unbridled moralising, trite platitudes and irrational wishful thinking, implies that inevitably and with geometric precision the project will, in fact, be deafeningly undermined.
The approach to the political process, constantly, incessantly and incessantly with an unmitigated, but viciously repeated, denunciatory eulogy, without any specifically and thoroughly reasoned counter-proposal, adds toxicity, you the political counter, frustrating any healthy expectation and dragging the public opinion into a suffocating deadlock, since it does not receive substantial and relevant answers for the critical and major issues that plague it.
The establishment of a party if it lacks a strong foundation as well as a serious and realistic political programme is completely devoid of any convincing political momentum and, in turn, is about to be fundamentally destroyed in its very birth.
Since we are obviously approaching the end of three years, after the elections of 2023, various new parties are already appearing, claiming to be in possession of power, proclaiming the prevalence of truth, with erudite slogans, as is the case with the party of Mrs. Carastianou, with reference to the proclamations of “the suppression of corruption”, “the advent of catharsis”, “the transparency of the banks” and so on; in other words, there is extensive reference to the “prevalence of light against lies and darkness”.
It is, in this regard, extremely and uncritically, an unfounded, and even unconvincing, verbal schema, of Manichaean type, that the supposedly novel neo-Irish party becomes by definition the self-appointed advocate of the general “good, good and virtue” and all its political opponents, other than the participants in that party, are by right made the disempowering agents and agents of the forces of corruption, rot and intrigue.
In view of the above, hope is dashed by the traditional parties with international recognition, which have lifted the country by sacrifice, when Greece was being torn apart under the grip of successive memoranda, the the N.D. successfully guarded Thermopylae, with dignity, unity, curing unavoidable internal pathologies, ensuring the stability and prosperity of the country completely until today, with all the errors and oversights that occurred during its course, especially in the crucial period, from the year 2019 onwards, where it continues unabated today to look at the citizens and to guarantee the effective governance of our country with stability and a sense of responsibility.
