Alexis Georgoulis has responded to rumours that he is joining Maria Karystianou‘s new party.

Lately there have been rumors that Alexis Georgoulis, who was a European Parliament member with Syriza but was expelled from the party after the well-known allegations against him and the lifting of his immunity, that he will join Maria Karystianou‘s “Hope for Democracy” party.

The well-known actor responding to the rumors from Natalia Germanou‘s show “Better is not possible” did not rule out such a possibility. However, he stressed that the case of Maria Karustianou is special and requires thought before making any move.

He did not claim that he never gave up politics in the broad sense. In fact, he said of Maria Karystianou that she is seeking justice, though he did not say exactly how she would achieve this through a political party, which was supposedly not her intention.

As he said of Maria Karystianou, “She is not just expressing her own opinion and her own pain. She is a very, very special case that has led to this point, that there needs a piece within this field of power that something needs to change in order to find vindication,” while continuing on the rumours that he is following Maria Karystianou “I have not thought about it. I haven’t gone into the process of envisioning that. However, I will also emphasize that it is a very special case, not because of the person, but the whole circumstance and what need, one step after another, arrived.”

The truth is that such political capital should not be lost.
