The “1st Panhellenic School Secondary Recycling Secondary Education Championship” was completed with great success. The participation of students & schools all over Greece was impressive!
The Championship in numbers
– 8.000+ students actively participated
– from 528 school sections of high schools & grammar schools
– in 95 municipalities across the country
– 87,427,216 pieces of materials were returned to TECHAN’s
Recycling Centers
– 2,622.816,48 € were given as a compensation to the participants
The “1st Panhellenic School Recycling Championship” was held in the framework of the proclamation Yannis Antetokounmpo as MVP (Most Valuable Protector) of Recycling in Greece and is part of the TEHAN “Corporate Social Responsibility” Programs, with the aim of:
the awareness of the New Generation
the active participation of high school students
the cultivation of environmental awareness
the promotion of the circular economy & recycling
The action was under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports & the Ministry of Environment and Energy.

The 6 first-place “MVP school recycling departments”, per grade of high school & middle school, win:
Large Prizes
Six (6) five (5) day trips to the United States for all students in the leading school divisions per Secondary School grade to watch Giannis Antetokounmpo in person at an NBA game!
