A fire is underway in an area of low vegetation in Filio Thessaloniki.
At the scene, 40 firefighters were operating with the assistance of two teams of hiking sections of the 2nd EMODE, volunteers and 11 firefighting vehicles. Two firefighting aircraft and a helicopter are assistingfrom the air, while water trucks from the local authorities are providing support.
According to reports, the fire broke out in a rough spot, without threatening residential areas.
The fire sounded at 4.17 pmand the 112 of the Civil Protection and in its urgent statement recommended that residents in the area “remain alert and follow the instructions of the authorities”.
