This coming Tuesday, June 16, the trial for the bicycle accident in Tempi continues on the merits.
And in the next hearing the issue that will be before the court is the statements in support of the prosecution and the prosecution’s motion to reject those of the Greek State, the Panhellenic Union of Traction Personnel, for the offence of breach of duty and to admit the statements of the Bar Association only for the offence of disturbing the safety of public transport.
Today the statements of the victims’ relatives’ advocates on the prosecution’s motion were completed and the statements of the defence advocates of the accused began.
Recall that the defence advocates have requested the Deposition of the Bar Associations and the Election Staff Association. Today they expressed their objections to the prosecution’s proposal to admit the representations of the Bar Associations, noting, among other things, that in the future there may be invalidations if the court admits their representations.
In the next hearing, the lawyers of the accused station masters and the former head of the Larissa Inspection Department of the Traffic Support Service (railways) of Central and Southern Greece, who have asked for the Greek State’s dismissal that is directed solely against them, will also be present.
Also, the defence lawyers of the defendants prosecuted for the offence of breach of duty will also be present.
It should be noted that the trial scheduled for tomorrow will not take place on the merits due to the participation of the registrar of the court in the 24-hour nationwide sectoral strike called by the Federation of Judicial Officers of Greece.
