Parliament: the bill on Immigration and Asylum was passed by majority vote

The bill, entitled “Implementation of the Covenant on immigration and asylum and other provisions of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum” was voted down by SYRIZA, KKE, Hellenic Solution, Niki, while PASOK-KINAL voted “present”.

The ministerial amendment with the provisions for the extension of operation and determination of the price for the exploitation of the aviation fuel supply pipeline of the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” for the benefit of the Greek State was also passed by the government only by a majority, as well as for the filling of vacant organic positions of Coast Guardsmen with the system of grading, while all opposition parties voted against it, except for the Hellenic Solution which was present.

The vote, because it was conducted via a ballot paper by the parties’ rapporteurs and speakers, Liberty Party, although it said it was voting against the bill, did not submit the relevant ballot paper at the end of the session, which it is expected to do in the coming hours.
