Suspended until next Wednesday 22 April<\/b> the ferry routes<\/b> connecting the ports Mytilene <\/b>and Aivali<\/b>. <\/p>\n
This was announced today to the cruise and tourism operators<\/b> of Mytilene by the Turkish ferry companies that operate these routes.<\/p>\n
As reported, the routes are being disrupted<\/b> because pastoralists<\/b> are continuing to mobilise at the port of Mytilene in opposition to measures to deal with foot-and-mouth disease<\/b>.<\/b><\/p>\n
Late today, it was announced that a a ferry<\/b> will take place in order to transport Greek Easter tourists<\/b> stranded on the opposite coast<\/b> to Mytilene<\/b> and also to take them to Turkey <\/b>Turkish excursionists who were stranded in Mytilene, but also Greek visitors<\/b> particularly from northern Greece who had come to Mytilene for the celebration of the Labrotriti of the Monastery of Agios Rafael<\/b> and are returning to Greece by road via Alexandroupolis<\/b>.<\/p>\n
