It is not the most normal thing. More likely it is a phenomenon degenerative to the functioning of Parliament and the opposition. And it has a clear signature. It is the result of the crisis in the Left and Centre-Left centred on SYRIZA, which after 2023 has experienced splits, splits and departures upon splits, personal marches and recently announced future marches.

It is amazing that if reports are confirmed of MPs who may find themselves in E.L.A.S. or PASOK, there will be MPs who have been in three different parties during one parliamentary term. It is not the best political and institutional development.

So many people talk with great ease about the adherence to principles and values by parties and politicians. But is all that we are witnessing an attitude of principle;Does it contribute to the credibility of Parliament and politics or the reverse in the eyes of society? Should we drag this out a little more? Given the fluidity of the political system, how can citizens be sure that by giving a candidate of a party their vote because he is on the ticket of a party, they will find him in the same party a year after the election;

Some people, by projecting their moral advantage as a flag, are unfortunately contributing to the devaluation of the political system, to the lack of trust. Others while denouncing “airport transfers” are now collecting contributions. The truth is, A. Tsipras on this seemed more careful. He has resigned as an MP and is asking anyone who wants to go along with him to resign as an MP, while also leaving it open that he may or may not get it.

This is one of the images of the House today. This is the House called to debate the constitutional review, the first debate on which was disappointing for the opposition’s attitude.Promoting radical change through consensual processes in the political system, the judiciary, etc.etc. is a prerequisite to overcome pathologies in order for there to be oxygen in our democracy. But we saw another disappointing picture of today’s Parliament, with the Opposition making it clear that they will not vote for anything from the first Parliament, lest they give a blank cheque – as was said – to the current Government.

Tragic politically and institutionally. Politically because it is as if the Opposition and basically PASOK, which insists that its goal is to win the first term, has thrown in the towel long before the election. Because if it believed in this goal, it would have passed at least some provisions to get 180 votes and pass in the next parliament with a simple majority. Institutionally because it is unthinkable that regulations where there might be agreement (e.g. on Article 16 or even Article 86) should not be passed. There has always been an edge. Even when under bipartisanship, the major parties were at war. Now it seems to have gone a step further. We are talking about an opposition that is institutional, anti-establishment and systemically anti-systemic.

Two images, two problems, two manifestations of the crisis we are experiencing. But let some people beware. Because when you saw the branch you’re sitting on, you fall too.

* This article was published on Liberal.gr

The number of independent MPs has reached 40.
The number was completed by Yannis Dragasakis, who, after the resignation of Efi …

[3

post-10090","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-politics
["GET
