The footprint of the social tourism programme<\/a> was highlighted by Niki Kerameos,<\/b> underlining that the government<\/b>continues to support workers<\/b>, unemployed<\/b>, retired<\/b> and people with disabilities<\/b> through targeted social interventions.<\/p>\n
In a post on social media, the Labour Minister noted that “333,000 of our fellow citizens will benefit this year from the Social Tourism Programme of the DYPA, 33,000 more than last year.”<\/p>\n
As she pointed out, the selection of beneficiaries <\/b>is made with specific income criteria, <\/b>so that support is directed to those who need it most.<\/p>\n
“With specific income criteria, support is directed to those who need it most: workers, the unemployed, pensioners and people with disabilities,” he said.<\/p>\n
The minister also referred to the double targeting of the programme<\/b>, noting that apart from the social dimension, it also helps to boost tourist activity<\/b> across the country.<\/p>\n
“We support society in practice, while at the same time we strengthen Greek tourism<\/b> and local communities,” Kerameos stressed.<\/p>\n
