{"id":10204,"date":"2026-06-11T15:16:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T12:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=10204"},"modified":"2026-06-11T15:16:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T12:16:00","slug":"adonis-georgiades-from-1-july-e-prescribing-in-hospitals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=10204","title":{"rendered":"Adonis Georgiades: From 1 July e-prescribing in hospitals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"198\" data-end=\"349\">From <strong data-start=\"206\" data-end=\"220\">July 1<\/strong>, <strong>electronic<\/b>subscription in hospitals, boosting treatment monitoring and drug management, Adonis Georgiades said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"351\" data-end=\"590\">The universal implementation of <strong data-start=\"375\" data-end=\"407\">electronic prescribing<\/strong> in the country&#8217;s public <strong data-start=\"420\" data-end=\"434\">hospitals<\/strong> from July 1, Minister of Health, <strong data-start=\"498\" data-end=\"519\">Adonis Georgiadis<\/strong>, during the proceedings of the 3rd <strong data-start=\"547\" data-end=\"562\">SFEE Summit<\/strong> at the Athens Concert Hall.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"weliqa\" data-start=\"592\" data-end=\"624\">What changes with the new system<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"895\">As the minister said, through the new <strong data-start=\"665\" data-end=\"679\">system<\/strong> with electronic platform it will be possible to accurately control therapies administered to patients, the reasons for which they are prescribed, but also the cases where certain treatments are used more frequently than others.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"1226\">At the same time, he stressed that the government&#8217;s main objective is to ensure unhindered access for all citizens to the necessary medicines. In fact, he noted that Greece currently registers the fewest <strong data-start=\"1108\" data-end=\"1130\">shortages of medicines<\/strong> in Europe, attributing this development to the policy followed in previous years.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1mknzou\" data-start=\"1228\" data-end=\"1275\">The challenge of expensive innovative treatments<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1277\" data-end=\"1516\">The <strong data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1300\">Adonis Georgiades<\/strong> focused in particular on the challenges posed by the rapid development of new <strong data-start=\"1375\" data-end=\"1399\">innovative treatments<\/strong>, which, he said, are significantly more expensive and are putting increasing pressure on <strong data-start=\"1485\" data-end=\"1504\">national budgets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1518\" data-end=\"1810\">&#8220;The challenge is for state budgets to withstand the very large <strong data-start=\"1593\" data-end=\"1607\">innovation<\/strong> that is being generated at an ever-increasing rate.
