The future of health <\/b>and digital transformation<\/b> of the National Health System<\/b> were at the center of the proceedings of the annual conference of pharmaceutical<\/b> companies.<\/p>\n
The utilization of health<\/b> data, the interconnection of information systems, artificial intelligence<\/strong> applications, and the development of modern digital infrastructure dominated the discussion on the future of digital health<\/b>, as part of the 3rd SFEE Summit organized by the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE<\/strong>).<\/p>\n The Minister of Digital Governance,\u00a0Dimitris Papastergiou<\/b>, presented the progress made in recent years in the field of digital health, emphasizing that \u201cIDIKA now plays a pivotal role in the management and utilization of health data<\/b>.\u201d<\/p>\n As he noted, the adaptation of European health data legislation to the Greek context is underway, while the construction of the national supercomputer \u201cDaedalus<\/b>,\u201d which will serve as a critical digital infrastructure for the country. <\/p>\n He emphasized that \u201cGreece already has one of the most important digital databases in Europe<\/b>,\u201d noting that \u201capproximately six million electronic prescriptions are recorded every month<\/b>.\u201d He stressed, however, that the next step is not merely data collection but improving data quality, interoperability, and secure utilization.<\/p>\n As he noted, the Recovery Fund projects will enable hospital systems with horizontal data to \u201ctalk\u201d to one another<\/b>.
