The Olympiacos BC<\/b> filed a complaint<\/b> against Dimitris Giannakopoulos<\/b>, regarding his posts on his personal Instagram account.<\/p>\n
Specifically, the “red-and-white” basketball club requested that the club\u2019s powerful figure Panathinaikos<\/b> for the stories he posted during Game 4 of the Stoiximan GBL finals, and requested that he be banned from all arenas for one year and fined 100,000 euros. In addition, they are seeking a \u20ac100,000 fine against Panathinaikos.<\/p>\n
The complaint in detail<\/strong>:<\/p>\n \u201cAs evidenced by the first (1st) video recording submitted to you (REF. 4), during the game and following the ejection of Panathinaikos BC player Kendrick Nunn after committing a total of five (5) personal fouls, D. Giannakopoulos made the following public statement, in which he directly accuses the referees of the alleged unjustified ejection of athlete Kendrick Nunn due to the charging of a supposedly non-existent -3- foul\u2014as he characteristically refers to it as a \u201cphantom foul\u201d \u2014 while, furthermore, he lashes out at the ERT commentator for failing, in his opinion, to comment on the referee\u2019s decision. As full proof, the content of the video post (story) in question is quoted verbatim: “You\u2019re not taking a stance on whether it was a foul, whatever your opinion may be\u2014you\u2019re not taking a stance? You won\u2019t, will you? It\u2019s all about a phantom fifth foul. A phantom.\u201d\u00bb<\/p>\n \u00abD. Giannakopoulos attacked, for the second time in a row, the referees for alleged improper practices, using expressions that imply particular contempt toward them, such as “They threw Nan out for a non-existent fifth foul” \u201cFor full proof, the content of the video post (story) in question is reproduced verbatim: “Vicious cycle\u2026 vicious cycle\u2026 they steal from you, they steal from you, you react, they punish you, they steal from you again, you react, they punish you again\u2026 what am I supposed to do\u2026 I\u2019ll go up there and they\u2019ll throw me in jail for three hundred years later\u2026 it\u2019s his last year\u2026 give\u2026 give\u2026 whatever our asses can grab\u2026\u201d\u00bb<\/p>\n \u00abThe defendant did not hesitate to publicly repeat\u2014in front of the more than 647,000 users who follow his social media account\u2014the ironic chant of Panathinaikos B.C. “PUT TSAROUCHA IN,” which is directed against referee Ms. Tsaroucha, who, as mentioned above, was not among the referees officiating yesterday\u2019s game (!).\u201d<\/p>\n They demand:<\/p>\n \u201cTo impose on D. Giannakopoulos a ban from entering all stadiums for one (1) year and a fine of up to \u20ac100,000.00, in accordance with the explicit provision of Article 74, Paragraph 3.C.b. of the Special Disciplinary Regulations of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (ESAKE).
