{"id":10507,"date":"2026-06-13T09:49:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-13T06:49:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=10507"},"modified":"2026-06-13T09:49:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-13T06:49:00","slug":"tragic-accident-at-the-sindos-industrial-park-56-year-old-woman-trapped-in-an-industrial-washing-machine-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=10507","title":{"rendered":"Tragic accident at the Sindos Industrial Park \u2013 56-year-old woman trapped in an industrial washing machine (video)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>     A tragic <strong>workplace accident<\/strong> occurred this morning (6\/13) in the <strong>Sindos Industrial Area<\/strong> in western Thessaloniki, when a <strong>56-year-old female worker<\/strong> became trapped in an industrial washing machine inside a factory and lost her life. <\/p>\n<p>     Authorities are investigating the exact circumstances under which the incident occurred. <\/p>\n<p>     According to information from <strong>ERT<\/strong>, the accident occurred around <b>7:30 a.m.<\/b> The woman was working at a local business when, under circumstances that have not yet been clarified, she became trapped in the machine. <\/p>\n<figure>\n<div class=\"embed-responsive\"><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>     According to the same reports, her hand reportedly got caught in the shafts of the industrial washing machine. Within seconds, she was violently pulled into the machine, up to her shoulder. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"el\" dir=\"ltr\"> Unconscious #rescued woman from a machine at a business premises and handed over to an EKAV ambulance in the Delta municipality of Thessaloniki. Nine people attempted #firefighters with 3 vehicles.     <\/p>\n<p>     \u2014 Fire Department (@pyrosvestiki) June 13, 2026 <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>     Emergency response teams from <strong>EKAV<\/strong>, the <strong>Fire Department<\/strong>, and the <strong>Hellenic Police<\/strong> arrived immediately at the scene.
