Demolition of the Panorama Bridge continues in Thessaloniki, as part of the construction of the Flyover<\/strong>, with traffic disruptions already being severe on the city\u2019s main thoroughfares. <\/p>\n

Since Friday evening (6\/12), emergency traffic measures have been in effect on the Eastern Inner Ring Road<\/strong>, as a 48-hour traffic ban has come into effect in both directions at the K11 Interchange, in the Pylaia\u2013Panorama area. <\/p>\n

According to the Traffic Police, traffic has been suspended in the westbound lane at the first exit toward Prasakaki Street. Vehicles are being diverted via Prasakaki, John F. Kennedy, and Eleonon Streets to re-enter the Ring Road. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in the eastbound lane, traffic has been halted at the exit toward Foka Street. Drivers are being rerouted through the city center. <\/p>\n

The Pylaia \u2013 Panorama <\/h2>\n

Starting early Saturday morning, the Pylaia \u2013 Panorama flyover on John F. Kennedy Street, from Eleonon Alley to Foka Street, has been closed to traffic. <\/p>\n

Traffic is being rerouted via Anoixis, Ampelonon, Prasakaki, Delphon, and Egnatia Streets, with the Traffic Police urging drivers to follow the signs and avoid unnecessary travel in areas where construction is underway. <\/p>\n

Additionally, until Sunday evening, a traffic ban is in effect for trucks over 3.5 tons on a section of the Ring Road, from junction K16 to junction K13. <\/p>\n

At the same time, stopping and parking are prohibited on sections of Katsimidi and Ethnikis Amynis streets to facilitate traffic flow. <\/p>\n

“On Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00 PM, a 48-hour TRAFFIC CLOSURE for vehicles in both directions on the Eastern Inner Ring Road, in the area of the K11 Interchange (Pylaia). <\/p>\n

In more detail: <\/p>\n

Vehicles traveling on the section heading toward Kavala\/Katerini will be required to detour onto Prasakaki Street. Traffic will be rerouted via Prasakaki, J. Kennedy, and Eleonon Streets, following the posted signs. <\/p>\n

Vehicles traveling on the lane heading toward Chalkidiki\/Airport will be required to detour onto Foka Street. Traffic will be rerouted through the city center. <\/p>\n

\u2022 It is recommended, especially for drivers of heavy vehicles, to use the Monastiriou-Egnatia-Karamanli road for their travel. <\/p>\n

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, at approximately 5:00 a.m., an additional TRAFFIC CLOSURE will be implemented for vehicles in both directions on the Pylaia-Panorama, between the side street of Eleonon Street and Foka Street. <\/p>\n
