The minority faction that wants SYRIZA<\/b> to remain open intends to take the matter to the extreme, knowing that Alexis Tsipras<\/b> has \u201cwritten them off.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to reports, many of the approximately 30 members of the Central Committee who voted in favor of SYRIZA<\/b> continuing to operate are considering resorting to the courts as a last resort. Provided, of course, that Socrates Famellos<\/b> does not present a binding and comprehensive agreement stating that those who wish to do so from SYRIZA<\/b> will be candidates for ELAS<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Of course, this does not seem like a realistic scenario, since the former prime minister will select only those he personally wants for the ballots. Yes, most will come from SYRIZA<\/b>, but not all, and well-known figures will be excluded.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to the same sources, minority leaders are considering filing injunctions against the Famellos<\/b> leadership and the Central Committee\u2019s decision, provided that no overall agreement is reached and, of course, if the leadership of SYRIZA<\/b> refuses to hold an extraordinary congress.<\/p>\n
The goal is twofold: on the one hand, for the Polakis<\/b> – Papas<\/b> – Dourou<\/b> faction to hold onto the party and lead it into the elections, and on the other, to prevent SYRIZA<\/b>\u2019s assets from being handed over to ELAS<\/b>. After all, the latter is very important for both sides, since… they\u2019ll do anything for money.<\/p>\n
