The president of the U.S.<\/b>, Donald Trump<\/strong>, announced via a post on Truth Social that the long-awaited agreement between Washington<\/strong> and Tehran<\/strong> is expected to be signed on Sunday, June 14, presenting it as an agreement that will definitively prevent the acquisition of nuclear weapons<\/strong> by Iran and help de-escalate tensions in the region. <\/p>\n In his post, the U.S. president launched a new attack against the JCPOA<\/strong>, which was signed during the presidency of Barack Obama<\/strong>, arguing that it was an \u201ceasy, beautiful, and smooth path\u201d for Iran to acquire nuclear weapon<\/strong> by Iran. <\/p>\n Instead, he characterized his own agreement as \u201ca barrier<\/strong> against nuclear weapons,” arguing that Tehran<\/strong> no longer wishes to acquire a nuclear arsenal, whether through development, purchase, or any other form of procurement. <\/p>\n Trump<\/strong> argued that immediately after the agreement is signed, the Strait of Hormuz<\/strong> will be \u201copen to all,\u201d while emphasizing that U.S. relations with Iran are currently at a much better level compared to previous U.S. administrations. <\/p>\n At the same time, he reiterated his criticism of Obama<\/strong>, referring to the hundreds of billions of dollars that, as he claimed, were paid to Tehran under the previous agreement, making it clear that the new agreement does not provide for any monetary exchange. <\/p>\n The U.S. president\u2019s reference to enriched uranium<\/strong> in Iran, which he described as \u201cnuclear dust\u201d stored beneath granite mountains. As he noted, once the situation stabilizes, the U.S.<\/strong> will take responsibility for retrieving the material and destroying it either within Iran or on U.S. soil. <\/p>\n Trump<\/strong> attributed this capability to the B-2<\/strong> bombers and their pilots, while concluding his message by expressing his hope for long-term cooperation with Iran<\/strong> and the entire Middle East<\/strong>. <\/p>\n At the same time, he warned that if the process does not proceed smoothly, the United States has the \u201cultimate alternative,\u201d which, as he noted, he hopes they will not have to use again. <\/p>\n \u201cThe agreement between Barack Hussein Obama<\/strong> with Iran<\/strong>, the JCPOA<\/strong>, was an easy, beautiful, and smooth path to acquiring a nuclear weapon<\/strong>, which Iran would have acquired six years ago and used much earlier. <\/p>\n My agreement with Iran<\/strong> is exactly the opposite: a barrier against nuclear weapons<\/strong>. In fact, they no longer want nuclear weapons, nor will they acquire them, whether through purchase, development, or any other form of procurement. <\/p>\n The agreement is scheduled to be signed tomorrow, and immediately after its signing, the Strait of Hormuz<\/strong> will be open to all. Our relationship with Iran is very different and better than that of previous administrations. <\/p>\n Unlike the hundreds of billions of dollars Obama paid them, including $1.7 billion in cash, no money will be exchanged. <\/p>\n At the right moment, when everything is calm, we will go in and take the nuclear dust<\/strong> from the imposing, sunken granite mountains, thanks to our beautiful bombers B-2<\/strong> and their brilliant pilots, and we will mix it up and destroy it, either in Iran or in the United States. <\/p>\n We look forward to working with Iran<\/strong> and the entire Middle East<\/strong> for a long time to come.
