The investigating judge is expected to hear the case today (6\/14) the 51-year-old pharmacist <\/strong>for operating an illegal laboratory for the production and distribution of pharmaceutical preparations and doping<\/strong> substances in Chalandri<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the network in question is alleged to have operated internationally, with more than 15,000 orders<\/strong> in approximately 90 countries. Authorities estimate that the total value of the seized products exceeds 600,000 euros<\/strong>, while the total turnover is reported to exceed 1 million euros.<\/p>\n

Chalandri: The pharmacy\u2019s basement and the ring\u2019s operations<\/h2>\n

The illegal laboratory is believed to have been operating for at least the past six months. According to the investigation, the premises were used to manufacture weight-loss products, erectile dysfunction treatments, anabolic substances, and stimulants.<\/p>\n

Prior to the main defendant\u2019s plea, four other individuals allegedly linked to the case had already appeared before the judicial authorities.<\/p>\n

Reports indicate that a total of ten people had access to the basement, including biologists<\/strong> and pharmacists<\/strong>, who participated in the manufacture and distribution of the products.<\/p>\n

The 51-year-old is also alleged to have advertised the products via social media, presenting himself as a certified manufacturer of \u201chandmade preparations.\u201d At the same time, he participated as a speaker at international forums.<\/p>\n

The complaints and the company’s role<\/h2>\n

According to the president of EOF, Spyros Sapounas<\/strong>, there had been repeated complaints from Greece and abroad regarding shipments of illegal preparations.<\/p>\n

The role of a company based in Halandri, owned by a British citizen<\/strong> who is wanted by the authorities, is also considered crucial. The investigation is focusing on the company\u2019s possible connections to the supply of raw materials and the management of shipments.<\/p>\n

Evidence so far suggests that the raw materials were of dubious origin, while prescriptions were reportedly issued through \u201cghost doctors.\u201d<\/p>\n

Those involved are also said to have used code names for the products in order to evade inspections and conceal the true nature of the transactions.<\/p>\n

Concerns about the substances detected<\/h2>\n

Authorities are particularly concerned that substances still in the research stage and not approved for widespread use were detected in some of the formulations.<\/p>\n

Investigators are examining the possibility of serious risks to public health, as several of the products appear to have been distributed without any safety checks.<\/p>\n
