The identity of the man who on Saturday night (6\/13) in Exarchia<\/strong> has now been confirmed by the authorities. He is a 25-year-old Turkish national<\/strong>, who had been in Greece since November 2024. <\/p>\n

This case has set off alarm bells at the Hellenic Police<\/strong>,<\/strong>, as the possibility that the killing is linked to a settling of scores between Turkish criminal groups operating in our country is being seriously considered. <\/p>\n

According to reports, the 25-year-old had been arrested twice before by the authorities. The first time was in Volos and the second in Athens. Police are now investigating his past, his contacts in Greece, and possible links to individuals under scrutiny by law enforcement. <\/p>\n

The murder took place on the steps leading to Strefi Hill<\/strong>. Residents reported hearing at least five consecutive gunshots, and the area immediately erupted into chaos. <\/p>\n

Witness accounts in the possession of the police indicate that the perpetrator fled running toward the hill immediately after the attack. A few minutes later, a large police force cordoned off the area, and during the forensic examination, five 9mm shell casings were found. <\/p>\n

The deceased was well-known in the Exarchia neighborhood and was often seen out and about with his small dog. <\/p>\n

At the time of the attack, the animal was by his side. The 25-year-old was shot in the head and chest and fell dead at the scene. <\/p>\n

Police officers and EKA\u0392 paramedics who arrived at the scene found the dog hiding under the dead man\u2019s arm.
