Work is proceeding at a rapid pace on the Metro in Athens<\/strong>, as track replacement work has been completed on the Sepolia \u2013 Dafni<\/strong> section of Line 2<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The work began in November 2025 and was completed on June 11. During this period, 21.6 kilometers of track were replaced, while approximately 1,300 welds were performed and ultrasonic inspections were conducted. <\/p>\n

Consequently, starting Monday, June 15, the works will move to Line 3<\/strong> and specifically to the Panormou \u2013 Nomismatokopio<\/strong> section. To accommodate the work, nighttime traffic arrangements will be in effect from Sunday (6\/14) through Thursday (6\/18). <\/p>\n

Metro: Which stations will close earlier <\/h3>\n

The stations Panormou<\/strong>, Katechaki<\/strong>, Ethniki Amuna<\/strong>, Holargos<\/strong> and Nomismatokopio<\/strong> will cease operations at 9:40 p.m., approximately two and a half hours before the end of regular service. <\/p>\n

During the maintenance work, trains on Line 3<\/strong> will operate on the following sections: <\/p>\n

  • Municipal Theater \u2013 Ambelokipi<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Agia Paraskevi \u2013 Doukissis Plakentias \u2013 Airport<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The last trains before station closures will depart: <\/p>\n

    • from Municipal Theater<\/strong> to Doukissis Plakentias<\/strong> at 8:55 PM<\/li>\n
    • from Syntagma<\/strong> to Doukissis Plakentias<\/strong> at 9:21 p.m.<\/li>\n
    • from Ampelokipoi<\/strong> to Doukissis Plakentias<\/strong> at 9:25 PM<\/li>\n
    • from Panormou<\/strong> at 9:27 PM<\/li>\n
    • from Katechaki<\/strong> at 9:29 PM<\/li>\n
    • from Ethniki Amuna<\/strong> at 9:31 PM<\/li>\n
    • from Cholargos<\/strong> at 9:33 PM<\/li>\n
    • from Mint<\/strong> at 9:35 PM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Airport <\/p>\n

        The latest trains: <\/p>\n

        • from Municipal Theater<\/strong> to Airport<\/strong> at 8:30 PM<\/li>\n
        • from Airport<\/strong> to Municipal Theater<\/strong> at 8:34 PM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          After 9:40 PM, trains to Airport<\/strong> will depart from Agia Paraskevi<\/strong> station, while trains from the Airport will also terminate at Agia Paraskevi<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

          Departures from Agia Paraskevi<\/strong> to Airport<\/strong> will take place at 21:44, 22:21, 22:57, and 23:33. <\/p>\n

          From Airport<\/strong> to Agia Paraskevi<\/strong>, departures will be at 21:10, 21:46, 10:22 PM, 10:58 PM, and 11:34 PM. <\/p>\n

          The temporary bus line X20 is coming <\/h3>\n

          To serve passengers, OASA<\/strong> is activating the temporary bus line X20 \u201cAmpelokipoi Metro Station \u2013 Halandri Metro Station\u201d<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

          The line will operate from Sunday through Thursday, from 9:40 PM until the end of Metro service. <\/p>\n

          The following stations will be served along the route: <\/p>\n
