Nikos Karanikas<\/b> commented in a Facebook post on the former prime minister\u2019s new promises for free public transportation in Attica and Thessaloniki. A promise he himself estimated would cost just… 200 million euros, and which came after Androulakis<\/b>\u2019s promise of free public transportation for young people up to 24 years old. <\/p>\n
We can all see that ELAS<\/b> and PASOK<\/b> have launched a competition to see who can promise the most, without, of course, being able to deliver on them, reminiscent of the infamous Thessaloniki Programs. <\/p>\n Karanikas\u2019 response <\/h3>\n

This is what Nikos Karanikas<\/b> saw, and he commented that the demagoguery has begun; specifically regarding Alexis Tsipras<\/b>, he said that he has started beating the…drums, recalling the phrase the former prime minister once said that he would beat the drums and the markets would dance. <\/p>\n
Nikos Karanikas<\/b>, who was once a strategic advisor to the former prime minister, commented that Alexis Tsipras <\/b>is out of touch and arrogant, since, as he explains, if he finds the money to fulfill his promise, citizens of Lamia or Grevena will be paying for the supposedly free transportation to Attica and Thessaloniki through the high taxes he will impose. <\/p>\n
Obviously, this doesn\u2019t make sense. Especially when he says he\u2019ll raise taxes on specific groups of citizens. <\/p>\n
At the same time, Nikos Karanikas<\/b> emphasizes that with this promise, Alexis Tsipras<\/b> shows how out of touch he is with society and that he behaves like an arrogant, feudal lord, and demagogue. After all, as he writes, citizens demand better public transportation\u2014not free transportation for a select few, paid for by others\u2019 taxes\u2014as this might actually make public transportation even worse. <\/p>\n
And he concludes by saying that society\u2019s reasonable demands and the country\u2019s problems cannot be solved by the luminaries of Alexis Tsipras<\/b> and the opportunists he has gathered around him to make it easier to pander to the masses.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
In fact, in a comment below the post, Nikos Karanikas<\/b> adds that it is astonishing how comfortably ELAS<\/b> of Alexis Tsipras<\/b> and calls them dangerous and ruthless. <\/p>\n
Alexis Tsipras<\/b> has found his match\u2014someone who thinks society is gullible and forgets easily. <\/p>\n
