Negotiations are currently proceeding in a murky landscape US <\/b>with Iran <\/b>with mediators from Qatar <\/b>seeming unable to persuade Tehran <\/b>to sign an agreement.<\/p>\n
Although U.S. President Donald Trump <\/b>was quick earlier today to rebuke Benjamin Netanyahu<\/b> for Israel\u2019s <\/b>attacks against Lebanon<\/b>, this does not mean he will manage to have a signed agreement today, on his birthday<\/b>. <\/p>\n
According to the Iranian news agency Fars, a source from the Iranian side <\/b> participating in the negotiations \u201cstressed that nothing has been finalized yet, even regarding the course of the negotiations.\u201d The same source said: \u201cEven if we go back and forth in the negotiation process and return to previous points, Iran\u2019s fundamental condition is that, ultimately, all of its concerns will be fully taken into account<\/b>.\u201d \u201cEven if all of Iran\u2019s concerns are addressed, Iran will certainly not sign any agreement on the date announced by Trump<\/b>,\u201d he told Fars. <\/p>\n
It should be noted that, for its part, Iran is expressing strong distrust toward the U.S. following the attacks <\/b>by Israel<\/b>on Lebanon <\/b>and the Dahiyeh region. <\/p>\n
It is highly doubtful whether the statement by U.S. President Donald Trump<\/b>, who criticizes his Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu over the attack on Lebanon and Hezbollah, will ease the climate of mistrust prevailing in Tehran.
