The view that immigration<\/strong> is a constantly changing and dynamic issue was expressed by New Democracy MP <\/b>in Achaea, Christina Alexopoulou<\/b>, speaking on OPEN\u2019s \u201cTora Mazi\u201d program. <\/p>\n Ms. Alexopoulou<\/strong> emphasized that the current situation bears no resemblance to the 2019<\/strong>, noting that migrant flows<\/strong> are now significantly lower compared to previous years. <\/p>\n At the same time, he noted that people who are not entitled to remain in the country are not left unchecked, pointing out that the rules<\/strong> that are enforced are in favor of Greek citizens<\/strong>. <\/p>\n \u201cNo illegal immigrant<\/strong> can roam freely in our country at the expense of Greek citizens,\u201d he stated emphatically. <\/p>\n The New Democracy<\/strong> MP also argued that Greece<\/strong> is no longer considered an easy transit country for illegal <\/b>migrants, as was the case in the past. <\/p>\n As he noted, while the prevailing attitude used to be \u201ccome on, let\u2019s get them through Greece,\u201d today the picture has changed, with the message being that \u201cthings have gotten difficult there<\/strong>.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n Alexopoulou: \u201cThe issue of migration is completely dynamic; nothing resembles 2019.
