{"id":10834,"date":"2026-06-15T15:13:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T12:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=10834"},"modified":"2026-06-15T15:13:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T12:13:00","slug":"home-renovation-the-platform-is-now-open-eligible-recipients-and-5-things-you-need-to-know","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=10834","title":{"rendered":"Home Renovation: The Platform Is Now Open &#8211; Eligible Recipients and 5 Things You Need to Know"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <b>platform<\/b> for \u201c<b>Home Renovation <\/b>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Monday (06\/15), the platform for eligibility certificates for the <b>program<\/b> \u201c<strong>Renovation<\/strong> <strong>of Residential Properties<\/strong>\u201d and interested parties can already, using their Taxisnet codes, <b>check whether they meet the eligibility criteria<\/b>, in order to prepare for the <b>application submission period, which begins on September 1<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The program provides for <b>a subsidy of up to 95% of the cost of the work<\/b>, with a maximum grant amount of<strong> 36,000 euros per residence<\/strong> or 300 euros per square meter.<\/p>\n<p>The highest subsidy rate applies to <b>homes in mountainous and island regions<\/b>, as well as households belonging to vulnerable social groups, such as large and single-parent families and people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligible recipients<\/h3>\n<p><b>Eligibility<\/b> applies to residences with a building permit that <b>was issued by the end of 1990<\/b>, with a floor area of up to <b>120 square meters<\/b>. For <b>families with three or more children<\/b>, the limit increases to <b>150 square meters<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the residences must fall <b>into energy class C<\/b>, not have been included in a similar program after January 1, 2020, and not be registered under a short-term lease arrangement.<\/p>\n<p>Homes that either remain vacant during the 2024\u20132025 period or are occupied<\/b> are eligible for the program.<\/p>\n<p><b>Applications will be evaluated in stages<\/b>. Priority will be given to applications for lower subsidy amounts, followed by applications approaching the <b>maximum subsidy limit of 36,000 euros<\/b>.<\/p>\n<h3>Five things you need to know<\/h3>\n<p>1. Properties used or intended for short-term rental are <b>excluded from the program<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>2. <b>The Certificate of Eligibility does not constitute approval of funding<\/b>. The final decision will be made after the submission of the complete application and the review of the supporting documents.<\/p>\n<p>3. <b>Applications will be reviewed in order of priority<\/b>. Initially, priority will be given to vacant properties, followed by occupied residences. In addition, applications with a lower requested subsidy amount are expected to be prioritized in the evaluation.<\/p>\n<p>4. The <b>energy performance certificate<\/b> (EPC) and the <b>electronic building ID<\/b> are <b>critical<\/b> and may create <b>obstacles<\/b> to the completion of the application.<\/p>\n<p>5. <b>The subsidy is not paid directly to the owner, but through a special escrow account and is released gradually to pay for work and suppliers<\/b>.
