{"id":10846,"date":"2026-06-15T14:20:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T11:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=10846"},"modified":"2026-06-15T14:20:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T11:20:00","slug":"konstantinos-kyranakis-pasoks-decline-is-irreversible-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=10846","title":{"rendered":"Konstantinos Kyranakis: PASOK&#8217;s decline is irreversible (video)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"52\" data-end=\"191\">     Konstantinos Kyranakis assessed that the return of Alexis Tsipras is putting pressure on <strong data-start=\"144\" data-end=\"153\">PASOK<\/strong>, leading it into strategic dead ends. <\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"59s4iy\" data-start=\"193\" data-end=\"240\">     Kyranakis on Tsipras\u2019s appearance and the new dilemma for PASOK <\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"242\" data-end=\"500\">     The <strong data-start=\"244\" data-end=\"265\">Secretary of New Democracy<\/strong>, speaking on the program <strong data-start=\"289\" data-end=\"315\">\u201cBehind the Lines\u201d<\/strong> on <strong data-start=\"320\" data-end=\"333\">Action 24<\/strong>, argued that the emergence of <strong data-start=\"365\" data-end=\"381\">Alexis Tsipras<\/strong> on the political scene is working to the detriment of <strong data-start=\"427\" data-end=\"436\">PASOK<\/strong>, noting that it further erodes its electoral influence. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"502\" data-end=\"851\">     As he noted, <strong data-start=\"519\" data-end=\"528\">PASOK<\/strong> will face a critical <strong data-start=\"565\" data-end=\"576\">dilemma<\/strong>. On the one hand, it must choose a course that accepts that the <strong data-start=\"658\" data-end=\"687\">country must be governed<\/strong>, something which\u2014according to him\u2014does not reflect the decisions and messages that emerged from the party congress and the stance of Nikos Androulakis. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"853\" data-end=\"1066\">     On the other hand, he noted that he could adopt a more <strong data-start=\"914\" data-end=\"933\">radical rhetoric<\/strong> than he does today in order to win votes from the <strong data-start=\"1002\" data-end=\"1015\">Left<\/strong> and politically compete with <strong data-start=\"1049\" data-end=\"1065\">Alexis Tsipras<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1068\" data-end=\"1278\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">     In closing, <strong data-start=\"1082\" data-end=\"1108\">Konstantinos Kyranakis<\/strong> described both options as <strong data-start=\"1142\" data-end=\"1159\">disastrous<\/strong> for <strong data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1176\">PASOK<\/strong>, expressing the view that its electoral and political <strong data-start=\"1232\" data-end=\"1246\">decline<\/strong> is now <strong data-start=\"1259\" data-end=\"1277\">irreversible<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"el\" dir=\"ltr\">Kyranakis: \u201cI believe that Tsipras\u2019s emergence further weakens PASOK.
