On the agenda that New Democracy will take to the polls, the possibility of Antonis Samaras<\/b> and his days as head of the Ministry of Transport, Konstantinos Kyranakis<\/b>.<\/p>\n
In an interview today on ANT1, the new secretary of the party\u2019s Political Committee noted that \u201cvoters going to the polls will assess the credibility of each party and that we have put our promises into action<\/b>, as well as the hope each party offers regarding what it will do next.”<\/p>\n
Referring specifically to Mr. Samaras and the possibility of him forming a party, he emphasized: \u201cI have had a personal relationship with Antonis Samaras for many years, and my respect for him is non-negotiable<\/b> and that does not change despite the criticism he directs at New Democracy, which is unfair. If he forms a party, it will hurt the party and, above all, the New Democracy voters who supported him and made him prime minister<\/b>.\u201d<\/p>\n
Regarding the ongoing debate about whether we are in an election season and whether we are facing a marathon or a 100-meter dash until elections are called, he emphasized: \u201cMy sense is that it will be a 400-meter race,\u201d and added that \u201cthere are many requests for new faces to join the party\u2019s candidate lists, and it is a given that there will be significant renewal.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n
He also stated that he understands the problem of inflation, \u201cbut the wage increases granted since 2019 are higher than inflation.\u201d<\/p>\n
The New Democracy secretary emphasized that he is leaving his tenure at the Ministry of Transport satisfied and feels that he has fulfilled his commitment to \u201csafer trains.\u201d<\/p>\n
Finally, commenting on the reappearance of Alexis Tsipras on the political scene, he stated that \u201che got off to a bad start by choosing a divisive name for his party\u201d.<\/b><\/p>\n
