Clashes, arrests, and the use of tear gas were reported in Larissa, following a protest by AEL fans against Achilleas Davelis.<\/p>\n

Scenes of intense unrest<\/strong> unfolded on Monday night in Larissa<\/strong>, following a rally by AEL<\/strong> against the management of Achilleas Davelis<\/strong>, in the wake of developments surrounding the ownership status<\/strong> of the team.<\/p>\n

The protest took place a few hours after the announcement by AEL FC<\/strong>, according to which the owners appear willing to transfer, without financial compensation, the share package<\/b> of the team to solvent investors who will take over the club.<\/p>\n

Larissa: From the rally to the clashes<\/h2>\n

After the conclusion of the rally<\/strong> in the city center, tensions escalated when a group of fans moved toward the homes of the Daveli<\/strong> brothers, causing serious clashes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Significant forces from the Hellenic Police<\/strong> were deployed to the scene,<\/strong> were deployed to the scene, which proceeded to use chemical agents<\/strong> and stun grenades<\/strong> in order to restore order. Following the events, Achilleas Davelis<\/strong> issued a detailed personal statement, condemning what had happened and speaking of the greatest display of \u201cmiserable conditions<\/strong>, terrorism<\/strong> and absurdity<\/strong>\u201d that Larissa has experienced in recent decades.<\/p>\n

The powerful figure at AEL claimed that for months he has been subjected to abusive attacks<\/strong> and harassment<\/strong>, citing \u201corganized local crime,\u201d while accusing the city\u2019s institutional bodies<\/strong> of remaining silent in the face of these acts of violence.<\/p>\n

At the same time, he recalled that the management announced the transfer of the team\u2019s shares<\/strong> of the team to a reliable investor without financial compensation, expressing his surprise that this initiative did not defuse the tension.<\/p>\n

Mr. Davelis called on the government<\/strong>, the Minister of Citizen Protection and the local authorities<\/strong> to take a public stance and condemn the events, while also requesting protection for his family and property.<\/p>\n

In his statement, he further argued that the motives of those who led the riots are not soccer-related but \u201cpolitical<\/strong> and class-based<\/strong>,\u201d referring to organized action by groups that, as he noted, use soccer as a pretext.<\/p>\n

In closing, he emphasized that he will remain in Larissa<\/strong> and will continue to defend the honor, reputation, and contribution to the local community, expressing his belief that the city deserves \u201ca better tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n
