Rise of the new far-right party “National Future”<\/b> as shown by the latest polls <\/b>on voting intentions in Italy<\/b>. <\/p>\n
More specifically, according to the poll by the company Swg, <\/b>which was conducted on behalf of the private channel La7,<\/b> General Roberto Vanacci\u2019s \u201cNational Future\u201d (<\/b>whose founding convention took place last weekend) garners, in Italians\u2019 voting intentions, a 5.3% share <\/b>. <\/p>\n
The main policy positions of this new party<\/b>include mass deportations of undocumented immigrants,<\/b>restrictions on the rights <\/b>of many immigrants with work permits,<\/b> the abolition <\/b>of the crime of femicide <\/b>and the view that members of the LGBTQ+<\/b> community should not enjoy any special legal protection<\/b>. At this stage, General Vanacci\u2019s new party has chosen not to support <\/b>the government in Rome.<\/p>\n
As for the parties of the conservative coalition,<\/b> Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni<\/b> remains the country\u2019s leading political force, with a share of 27.9%.<\/b> \u201cForza Italia\u201d <\/b>, led by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani<\/b>, is chosen by 7.2% <\/b>of respondents, while Matteo Salvini\u2019s League<\/b> (from which many National Future leaders hail) slips to 5.3%.<\/b><\/p>\n
As for the opposition<\/b>, the Democratic Party <\/b>, led by Elly Schlein <\/b>and polling at 22.1%, is once again in the lead by a wide margin. The \u201cFive Star Movement\u201d of former Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte<\/b> stands at 13.3%, <\/b>while the Italian Left <\/b>and the Greens \u201cconvince\u201d 6.5% <\/b>of the statistical sample.<\/p>\n
