The platform PosoKanei.gov.gr is now live, giving consumers the ability to compare prices of products at supermarkets in real time.<\/p>\n
The platform will first be presented to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/b> at a meeting at the Maximos Mansion. This will be followed by a detailed presentation at 12:30 p.m. by the political leadership of the Ministries of Development and Digital Governance<\/b>.<\/p>\n
The government\u2019s goal is to enhance market transparency, to make everyday shopping easier for consumers, and to boost competition among businesses.<\/p>\n
The platform is available via a mobile app and includes over 8,500 products from all major supermarket chains<\/b> and from all major categories, such as food, beverages, personal care and cleaning products, baby products, and pet supplies.<\/p>\n
The platform will include both brand-name products<\/b> and private-label products<\/b>, while the primary focus will be on standardized and packaged products. For now, most fresh products, such as fruits, vegetables, and fresh meats, are excluded from the platform.<\/p>\n
In fact, the app also includes a digital shopping cart<\/b>, where users can add products they\u2019re interested in and see the total cost of that basket at different supermarket chains.<\/p>\n
At the same time, PosoKanei.gov.gr will maintain a two-month price history<\/b>, allowing consumers to verify whether a sale is genuine or if it was preceded by a price increase for the product.<\/p>\n
