A strong message of zero tolerance for crime<\/b> and delinquency was sent from Gastouni <\/strong>by the Minister of Citizen Protection,\u00a0Michalis Chrysochoidis<\/strong>, during meeting <\/b>at the City Hall <\/b>with the participation of the mayor, representatives of the local community, and officials from the Ilia Police Department.<\/p>\n

At a time when residents\u2019 concerns about crime are at the forefront, the minister appeared determined <\/b>to set a clear course for the days ahead<\/b>, emphasizing that the state has a duty to protect the social contract and ensure social peace.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is unthinkable that some should act to the detriment<\/b>of other citizens. It is unthinkable that social peace <\/b>should be disrupted by criminal and delinquent behavior, by threats<\/b>, or by incidents that put human lives <\/b>at risk. \u201cThis must come to an end<\/b>,\u201d Mr. Chrysochoidis emphasized.<\/p>\n

The minister made it clear that crime <\/b>cannot be treated as a way of life or a \u201cprofession\u201d<\/b>, directly characterizing it as an enemy of society and noting that the insecurity <\/b>it causes among citizens is no longer tolerable.<\/p>\n

\u201cCrime <\/b>is not a profession. It is an enemy of our society<\/b>. The insecurity <\/b>created by crime <\/b>and delinquency cannot be tolerated<\/b>,\u201d he stated emphatically.<\/p>\n

His reference to the specialized units of the Hellenic Police,<\/b> specifically the so-called \u201cGreek FBI,\u201d<\/b> is now actively operating in the field, as part of the operations <\/b>currently underway to address the issues affecting the region.<\/p>\n

Mr. Chrysochoidis assured residents that the Greek Police <\/b>stands by their side and that his presence in Gastouni <\/b>is tangible proof of the government\u2019s commitment to restoring a sense of security. \u201cWe are here as the Greek Police. I express my support <\/b>for all the residents of Gastouni<\/b>. We stand with them for security <\/b>and social peace,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n

The minister\u2019s visit is taking place at a time <\/b>during which the residents of the area are expressing strong concern <\/b>over repeated incidents of lawlessness<\/b>, with the political and operational leadership of the Hellenic Police appearing determined <\/b>to intensify interventions and checks, sending a message <\/b>that the fight against crime is entering a new phase.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
