The Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Gerapetritis<\/strong>, met today, Wednesday, June 17, in Athens with the Personal Envoy<\/strong> of the United Nations Secretary-General on Cyprus, Mar\u00eda \u00c1ngela Holgu\u00edn Cu\u00e9llar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Ms. Holgu\u00edn\u2019s visit followed her meetings with the President of the Republic of Cyprus<\/strong> and the Turkish Cypriot leader<\/strong>, as part of efforts to advance the process of resolving the Cyprus Issue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n During the meeting, Mr. Gerapetritis<\/strong> expressed Greece\u2019s full support<\/strong> for the initiatives of the Secretary-General of the UN<\/strong>, Antonio Guterres<\/strong>, to find a comprehensive, fair, and sustainable solution to the Cyprus issue<\/strong>, based on the relevant Security Council resolutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n At the same time, he underscored the importance of maintaining the positive momentum<\/strong> that has developed around the Cyprus issue over the past two-plus years.
