More than 6,700 eligibility certificates<\/strong> have already been issued through the new electronic platform for the \u201cHome Renovation\u201d<\/strong> initiative, which is funded by the NSRF 2021\u20132027<\/strong> with a total budget of 500 million euros<\/strong>. The first phase of implementation follows the signing of the relevant Joint Ministerial Decision<\/strong> by the relevant ministries.<\/p>\n The initiative is part of a broader package of government measures addressing the housing issue<\/strong>, totaling more than 6.5 billion euros<\/strong>, and is aimed at low- and middle-income households<\/strong>. The goal is to increase the available housing stock<\/strong> and boost the supply of housing through renovation<\/strong> and moderate energy upgrades<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Eligible participants include owners<\/strong> or usufructuaries<\/strong> of owner-occupied homes are eligible to participate, provided that after the completion of the work, the property will be used as a primary residence<\/strong> or will be made available for a long-term lease<\/strong> for a specific period of time. At the same time, property owners, usufructuaries, or nominal owners<\/strong> of vacant homes that are already being used as primary residences.<\/p>\n The maximum amount of the grant<\/strong> is 36,000 euros<\/strong> per residence, while additional coverage of up to 2,500 euros<\/strong> is provided for studies<\/strong>, permits<\/strong> and inspections<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The basic subsidy amounts to 80%<\/strong> for low-income households and 70%<\/strong> for middle-income households. The percentage can increase up to 95%<\/strong> through additional subsidies for homes in mountainous<\/strong> or island regions<\/strong>, for single-parent<\/strong>, families with three children<\/strong> and large families<\/strong>, as well as for people with disabilities<\/strong> or families that include a member with a disability.<\/p>\n Homes are considered eligible if they have a building permit<\/strong> issued by December 31, 1990, are legally standing, have not been designated for demolition, fall into energy class C or lower<\/strong>, and have a floor area of up to 120 square meters<\/strong>, a limit that increases to 150 square meters<\/strong> for families with three or more children.<\/p>\n Interested parties can obtain the Eligibility Certificate<\/strong> via gov.gr<\/strong> or the website anakainisi.gov.gr<\/strong> until July 31, 2026<\/strong>. The process is carried out using Taxisnet<\/strong> login credentials, while the system automatically retrieves the required data from the AADE<\/strong> and the government\u2019s interoperable services.<\/p>\n After verifying the income criteria, the platform displays the properties<\/strong> that meet the eligibility requirements. Citizens may obtain a certificate for one or more properties; however, this does not automatically entail inclusion in the program or approval of financing.<\/p>\n In the second stage of the initiative, certificate holders will submit a Funding Application<\/strong> on a separate online platform. Each household will be able to apply for funding for up to one closed<\/strong> and one open residence<\/strong>, with a maximum grant of 36,000 euros<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Eligible projects include renovation<\/strong> work accounting for 60%\u201380% of the total budget and energy efficiency upgrades<\/strong> accounting for 20%\u201340%.
