There are two Zissy findings. We all knew about the one. For some reason we didn’t know there was a second one. Does it address the issue of “espionage” or not? He’s doing research and saying “I’m filing.” The single chamber sends the minutes of the trial to the prosecutor in charge and says “see the issue of espionage”, but it has been investigated.I heard this and I was surprised,” Andreas Loverdos said, speaking on a TV show.

In fact, two findings have been issued by a top prosecutor archiving the espionage offence and one wonders what new evidence may have… emerged from the hearing before the Single Member Plenary Court where four private individuals were tried for a misdemeanour, which requires review by the Supreme Court…

History and findings

One finding was issued in 2024 and the other in 2025 by the Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Achilles Zisis, and concerned the first complaints from alleged victims and the other the lawsuits filed earlier in the year for the same offence of espionage and illegal connections, through the illegal Predator software, by PASOK president Nikos Androulakis and journalist Thanasis Koukakis.

In both cases, the top prosecutor points out that there is no espionage, putting the case on file as far as this aspect is concerned. Indeed, with the final conclusion of 2025, where the lawsuits of Androulakis and Koukakis were essentially investigated, Achilleas Zisis among other things clarifies in his conclusion: “Based on the lawsuits submitted by Mr. Androulakis and Mr. Koukakis, they request on the merits to re-judge issues that had been decided. They request in essence a review of the case, that is, a new substantive and criminal evaluation of what has already been thoroughly investigated and judged during the initial preliminary examination and which are detailed and thoroughly mentioned in our conclusion of 25-7-2024″.

Specifically, the Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Achilleas Zisis, was assigned – after an upgrade – to continue conducting a criminal preliminary examination in October 2023, following allegations of telephone tapping of political figures, dominated by Nikos Androulakis and other political figures, high-ranking members of the Armed Forces and journalists.

On July 25, 2024, the deputy prosecutor with his conclusion ruled, among other things, that “no connection of the NIS or any other state service (EL.AS. or anti-terrorism) with the malicious software Predator and the alleged wiretapping of politicians, state officials, journalists, etc. has been found and therefore the case as regards the NIS or other state services and individuals who served in key positions is filed”.

With this finding only four persons were indicted for misdemeanour (ed.those who were eventually tried and convicted by the Athens Single Plenary Court),who were representatives of the companies and were alleged in one way or another to have been involved with the malware while, as it was specified in this conclusion, a thorough investigation was conducted and everyone was examined, even those who did not file lawsuits, while all the services relevant to the investigation of the issue of the interceptions also contributed to the investigation.

Four months later after the release of this report, Nikos Androulakis and Thanasis Koukakis filed lawsuits-charges against a citizen, insisting on the issue of wiretapping and espionage, “contributing”, as the deputy prosecutor says in his second conclusion, “as a new fact possible involvement of the plaintiff, who, as it turned out, is a supermarket employee, that is, a breadwinner, who has nothing to do with the accused”.

And Mr. Achilleas Zisis concluded in his finding in January 2025: “The recent allegations in the new lawsuits of Mr. N. Androulakis and A. Koukakis were correlated with all the elements of the already formed case file and all the new testimonies and proved to be obviously substantive but also legally unfounded and therefore must be placed on file by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court.”

Andreas Loverdos expressed his surprise at the request for reconsideration of the same part of the case by the Athens Magistrate Court.
His surprise …

[3

post-1130","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-politics
["GET
