The Greek position, as publicly stated by the prime minister, is that the EU\u2019s ambitious goals must be matched by a European budget that is equally ambitious in scale. At the same time, the revenue of the new budget<\/b> \u2014whether from existing or new own resources, or from other sources of funding\u2014should be directed toward meeting the Union\u2019s expanded strategic and investment priorities.<\/p>\n
For Greece<\/b>, a key priority remains safeguarding the funds allocated to Cohesion and the Common Agricultural Policy<\/b>, as well as ensuring that efforts to strengthen European competitiveness do not lead to a widening of inequalities between member states and regions.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the prime minister is expected to advocate for joint European financing<\/b> \u2014including joint European borrowing\u2014for investments in common European goods, such as energy and defense.<\/p>\n
