It estimates that at least 250,000 young girls, mainly white British girls from working-class families, were victims of rape by groups of men, mainly of Pakistani and Muslim descent, in 149 areas across the country.

The victims, often aged 11–15, were given gifts, drugs, and alcohol, and then subjected to gang rapes, trafficking, torture, and even forced conversion to another religion. Testimonies describe girls locked in dog cages, raped by 600–700 different men over the course of years, with marks on their bodies and faces from being struck with broken bottles or extinguished cigarettes.

The report documents institutional failures: police, social services, and prosecutors ignored complaints for decades, fearing they would be accused of racism.

The silence of the #MeToo movement and feminist organizations (such as the Everyday Sexism Project and the Fawcett Society) is deafening. In contrast, they mobilized en masse against sexual harassment in Hollywood, universities, and corporations—in cases where the perpetrators are primarily high-status white men. Protests were organized, social media campaigns were launched, legal reforms were enacted, and public condemnations were issued. The message was clear: “Believe women,” zero tolerance.

However, for the thousands (or hundreds of thousands) of girls who are victims of grooming gangs, they remain silent. Few feminist voices have strongly condemned the phenomenon, even though it involves systematic, racially targeted sexual violence. In contrast to the outrage over cases like Harvey Weinstein’s, here what prevails is embarrassment or silence, so as not to “stigmatize” the Muslim community. Even today, following the publication of Lowe’s report, many organizations have not issued even a single statement of support for the victims.

This selective sensitivity reveals hypocrisy. When the victims are white and the perpetrators come from minority groups, the “intersectionality” so fervently championed by feminists seems to work in reverse: the perpetrators’ identity takes precedence over the protection of the victims. The result is a double standard (“two-tier justice” and “two-tier feminism”). The Lowe report calls for mandatory recording of perpetrators’ ethnicity, harsher penalties, deportations, and private prosecutions. The real test for British society and feminist organizations is whether they will support these proposals or continue their selective silence. The victims are waiting for justice. There is no room for ideological bias here.

On June 16, the full report of the Rape Gang Inquiry—an independent investigation led by British MP Rupert Lowe (elected as a member of the …

[6

post-11420","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-blog
["GET
