Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis&gt; expressed his condolences.<\/p>\n<h3>Who was Andreas Mazarakis<\/h3>\n<p>He was born in <strong>Metaxourgeio<\/strong> during the Civil War. He graduated from the 5th Gymnasium in <strong>Exarchia<\/strong>. He studied at the Athens University of Economics and Business (ASOEE), Department of Economics, from which he graduated in 1974. He continued his studies at the Athens Law School, from which he received his law degree in 1978. At the same time, he attended the National Theater\u2019s Drama School (1967\u20131970) and graduated from the Kostis Michailidis School of Drama. He also studied for five years at the Athens Conservatory, majoring in voice and accordion.<\/p>\n<p>During <strong>the dictatorship<\/strong>, he was repeatedly arrested for his involvement in the student movement and was forcibly conscripted in February 1973.\u00a0He served as Chair of the Committee on the Removal of Dismissed Faculty Members, specifically regarding professors at the University, the Polytechnic, and the Athens Schools of Economics.<\/p>\n<p>He worked for many years in the field of<strong>food imports and exports,<\/strong> undertaking numerous trips to countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. From Tehran and India to <strong>Cuba<\/strong>, he encountered diverse cultures and societies\u2014experiences he often drew upon in his public appearances and storytelling. At the same time, he pursued acting and journalism, but it was radio that ultimately won his heart.<\/p>\n<p>With the distinctive timbre of his voice, the candor of his speech, and his independent thinking, he managed to gain <strong>a devoted audience<\/strong> and leave his own mark on Greek radio. The program \u201cO Exarchion\u201d on Parapolitika 90.1 became a point of reference for many listeners, as it combined political commentary, social observations, and personal stories from a life full of experiences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andreas Mazarakis<\/strong> is noted for having been more than just a radio personality. His great love for soccer led him to become actively involved with the historic Asteras Exarchion club, of which he served as president.<\/p>\n<h3>Marinakis:\u00a0He stood out for his views and his integrity<\/h3>\n<p>Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis expressed his condolences on the death of radio producer Andreas Mazarakis.
