The head of the International Energy Agency Fatih Birol<\/b> welcomed the signing of the provisional agreement to end the war in Iran and called for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz under certain conditions.<\/p>\n
Fatih Birol stated at an event in Istanbul that many countries are reevaluating their energy policies<\/b> and that it is clear that the sea lane could be blocked again<\/b>, given that Iran blocked the Strait during the armed conflict. \u201cThe genie is out of the bottle. Now, everyone knows that the Strait of Hormuz was closed once and could be closed again,\u201d<\/b> he emphasized.<\/p>\n
