Given this, I would expect, as a person of good faith by nature and disposition, that the opposition would welcome\u2014if not positively, then at least neutrally\u2014the new digital service posokanei.gov.gr, which pursues both objectives: namely, both to intensify price competition and to reduce the information asymmetry that consumers face when dealing with large supermarket chains.<\/p>\n
Quite simply, thanks to this user-friendly app, consumers can now make smarter and more informed purchasing decisions. And with their help, the government can exert more informed and effective pressure across the entire supply chain to secure better prices.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd yet,\u201d he continues, \u201csince yesterday, the opposition has launched a fierce campaign \u2014even resorting to fake news regarding its development costs\u2014in an effort to discredit this innovative tool that the government is now making available to consumers.<\/p>\n
Once again, driven by its anti-government fervor, the opposition is acting in a self-destructive manner and playing into the hands of those who DO NOT want transparency and price competition. And I think we can all imagine who those people might be.\u201d<\/p>\n
In conclusion, \u201cthe #howmuchitcosts initiative does not, of course, solve the problem of high prices on its own. It is, however, another tool at our disposal for more effective oversight of the domestic market as well as multinational corporations. If it is dismissed, those who consistently bet on both political and economic speculation will come out on top.<\/p>\n
