Significant progress is being made in behind-the-scenes conversations<\/b> between the US<\/strong> and Iran<\/strong>, according to a Pakistani source involved in the mediation, boosting the probability of a short-term agreement to end the crisis<\/b>.<\/p>\n

As he told Reuters<\/strong>, “both sides agree in principle – technical details will follow<\/b>,” confirming that negotiations have entered a critical stage.<\/p>\n

According to the same reports, an upcoming meeting between Washington and Tehran could lead to the signing of a memorandum of understanding<\/b>, which could be a forerunner of a comprehensive agreement within 60 days<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Pakistan’s Army chief<\/b> Asim Munir<\/strong>, who has been holding talks in Tehran since April 15, is reportedly playing a key role in the contacts, helping to make progress on critical issues.<\/p>\n
