The National Dialogue on the new Common Agricultural Policy<\/b> (CAP) 2028\u20132034, with the second regional session taking place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.<\/b>, at the Metsovo Center for Interdisciplinary Research<\/b>, chaired by <\/b>the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Margaritis Schinas<\/b>.<\/p>\nProposals <\/h3>\n
The event is organized by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food in collaboration with the Regions of Epirus and Western Macedonia and marks the second stage of the national dialogue that has been launched to formulate Greece\u2019s national positions in anticipation of the new CAP programming period.<\/p>\n
The discussion will focus on the European Commission\u2019s proposals for the new CAP within the framework of the Multiannual Financial Framework 2028\u20132034, as well as the challenges and priorities emerging for the Greek primary sector in the coming years.<\/p>\n
The meeting follows up on the launch event for the partnership held in Athens last April and marks the transition of the dialogue to the regional level, with the aim of actively involving local communities, producers, cooperative organizations, local governments, and representatives of the agri-food sector.<\/p>\n
This process seeks to identify the needs and specific characteristics of each region, to develop a common understanding of national priorities, and to jointly formulate Greece\u2019s positions on the new CAP, at a time when decisions made at the European level will largely determine the future of agriculture, livestock farming, and rural development.<\/p>\n
