The patience of the leadership of PASOK toward Charis Doukas<\/b> appears to be nearing its limits. The latest moves by the mayor of Athens have caused intense irritation at Harilaou Trikoupi, which sees a top party official straying from the official line with increasing frequency.<\/p>\n
Haris Doukas\u2019s decision to participate in an event organized by SYRIZA MEP Kostas Arvanitis<\/b>, with the participation of figures politically linked to Alexis Tsipras, was viewed by many in PASOK as yet another step away from the party.<\/b><\/p>\n
While officials at the party headquarters on Charilaou Trikoupi Street may publicly avoid high-profile tensions, behind the scenes they make no secret of their annoyance.<\/b> The prevailing sense is that the mayor of Athens is systematically choosing to send political messages in other directions, at a time when the party is fighting to regain momentum in the polls.<\/p>\n

For the time being, Nikos Androulakis does not seem willing to trigger a new internal party crisis with immediate disciplinary actions. His strategy remains to avoid a public escalation, as he knows that any new conflict comes at a political cost to the party.<\/p>\n
However, his tolerance is not unlimited. At Harilaou Trikoupi, they believe that the image projected recently undermines the collective effort and distracts from the political agenda. That is why the message being sent in all directions is that there will not be many more chances.<\/b><\/p>\n
