Aside from taxing\u2026 wealth (not Mickey Mouse\u2019s) and the yachts that\u2026 cruise, Alexis Tsipras<\/b> is also throwing grandiose headlines into the debate\u2014ones he has promised in the past, with the consequences still weighing on citizens\u2019 shoulders ten years later.<\/p>\n
The Hellenic Police spokesperson spoke on Monday about \u201creestablishing the welfare state\u201d<\/b>, adding that this would be achieved through funding generated by the fight against corruption, the restriction of direct contracts, and the crackdown on cartels<\/b>, thereby defining\u2014as the (new) comrades of the (new) president, setting the economic tone for the new political party.<\/p>\nJuly 2016<\/b><\/h3>\n
In July 2016, with his characteristic bombastic style, Alexis Tsipras was rebuilding the welfare state. In his remarks at the time during the meeting of the Government Council on Social Policy<\/b>, he spoke of the \u201cold political establishment\u201d that \u201cleft a social majority unprotected in the maelstrom of the economic crisis\u201d and presented the\u2026 seven pillars of the reconstruction of the welfare state.<\/p>\n
And, of course, he concluded by saying the following: \u201cThe new welfare state cannot be anything other than for the people, with the people, and by the people.\u201d<\/p>\n
What happened is well known, and citizens realized that the first time Left of Alexis Tsipras and his (former) comrades is facing the restructuring that is now taking place\u2026 re-establishment with his (new) comrades, who may not have a clear picture of those \u201cheroic days\u201d.<\/p>\n
The bottom line is that it\u2019s serving up rehashed old stories<\/b> and is trying to use old tricks to fish in specific voter pools in order to create conditions that will allow him to maintain second place. It\u2019s reselling the same product to anyone willing to buy it. <\/b><\/p>\n
In 2016, it was rebuilding the welfare state. Now it\u2019s\u2026 reestablishing it.
