The <b> Sports &amp; Tourism Summit 2026 <\/b> focuses on the role that sports and tourism can play in <b>education<\/b>, <b>public health<\/b>, <b>inclusion<\/b>, <b>social cohesion<\/b>, <b>integrity<\/b>, and <b>sustainable development<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Participants in the program include, among others, the Vice President of the Greek Government, <b>Kostis Hatzidakis<\/b>, the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports, <b>Sofia Zacharaki<\/b>, the Deputy Minister, <b>Ioannis Vroutsis<\/b>, the Deputy Minister of Tourism,<b> Anna Karamanli<\/b>, the Deputy Minister of Health,<b> Marios Themistokleous<\/b>, the World Champion in Synchronized Swimming,<b> Evangelia Plataniti<\/b>, the Track and Field Champion, <b>Anastasia Dragomirova<\/b>, the Paralympians, <b>Nikos Papangelis <\/b>and <b>Stelios Malakopoulos<\/b>, and the Majority Shareholder of AEK BC, <b>Makis Angelopoulos<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The <b>Sports &amp; Tourism Summit 2026<\/b> will be hosted by journalist, <b>Amalia Katsou<\/b>, along with Eurohoops sports editor, <b>Myrto Tsitsou<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The <b>Sports &amp; Tourism Summit 2026<\/b> \u201cSports and Tourism as a Vehicle for Social Development\u201d is held under the auspices of the <b>Hellenic Olympic Committee<\/b>, the <b>Hellenic Paralympic Committee<\/b>, the <b>Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports<\/b>, the <b>Ministry of Health<\/b>,  the <b>General Secretariat for Sports<\/b>, the <b>Region of Attica<\/b>, the <b>Regional Union of Attica Municipalities<\/b>, the <b>Municipality of Galatsi<\/b>, and the <b>Panhellenic Sports Press Association<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is aimed at <b>executives of agencies<\/b>, <b>organizations <\/b>, and <b>companies <\/b>in the <b>sports <\/b>and <b>tourism<\/b> sectors, <b>representatives of institutions <\/b>and <b>educational institutions<\/b>, <b>athletes<\/b> of all ages, <b>students <\/b>and <b>young professionals<\/b>, as well as <b>any citizen<\/b> interested in the contribution of sports and tourism to social development.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the <b>Sports &amp; Tourism Summit<\/b> is to present policies, practices, and collaborations that can contribute to social development and work in tandem to create added value.
