He passed away<\/b> today at the age of 77, journalist Ioannis Amanatidis<\/b> (son of Michael), due to health issues he had been facing recently.<\/p>\n
Ioannis Amanatidis was born in Protochori, Kozani, in 1949. After completing high school and his military service, he began his career in journalism at the newspaper \u201cVradini\u201d in 1974, working on content editing and layout for the sports section. <\/p>\n
At the same time, he worked at ERT, where he served as News Director for several years during the 1980s. His career in the print media continued at the newspapers \u201cKERDOS,\u201d \u201c24 ORES,\u201d \u201cEPIKAIROTITA,\u201d \u201cETHNOS,\u201d \u201cVIMA,\u201d and \u201cKYRIAKATIKI AKROPOLIS,\u201d and he served as Editor-in-Chief at \u201cELEFTHEROS TYPOS,\u201d Director of the newspaper \u201cCHORA\u201d as well as the radio station \u201cFLASH.\u201d<\/p>\n
Yannis Amanatidis served journalism in many positions of responsibility and was distinguished for his professional integrity and dedication to the news. Gracious, approachable, always cheerful and collegial, he leaves the best impressions on all the colleagues who worked with him.<\/p>\n
