The tension being registered between Donald Trump<\/b> and Papa Leo<\/b> was reported by journalist<\/b> and analyst Michalis Ignatiou<\/b>, taking a stand in favor of the American<\/b> president’s statements.<\/p>\n

As he argued, Donald Trump<\/b> “said what we are all thinking<\/b>“, acknowledging the Pope’s right to freely<\/b> express his views, but noting that he should – in his view – have taken a clearer position on the regime in Iran<\/b>.<\/p>\n

He referred to serious issues related to the condition in Iran<\/b>, arguing that there has been insufficient public reaction from international actors.<\/p>\n

“The Pope should have had a word<\/b>,” he said, stressing the need – as he sees it – for a clearer stance on international security issues.<\/p>\n
