{"id":12726,"date":"2026-06-25T10:11:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T07:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=12726"},"modified":"2026-06-25T10:11:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T07:11:00","slug":"kefim-91-6-of-the-governments-commitments-have-been-implemented-or-are-currently-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=12726","title":{"rendered":"KEFIM: 91.6% of the government&#8217;s commitments have been implemented or are currently underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"59\" data-end=\"229\">KEFIM reports that 91.6% of pre-election pledges of the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis have either already been implemented or are currently underway, three years after the elections of 2023.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"231\" data-end=\"694\">Three years after the June 2023 elections, the government has made <strong data-start=\"300\" data-end=\"323\">significant progress<\/strong> in implementing its pre-election platform, according to new data from <strong data-start=\"405\" data-end=\"414\">KEFIM<\/strong>. The <strong data-start=\"418\" data-end=\"465\">Pre-Election Platform Implementation Index<\/strong> shows that <strong data-start=\"481\" data-end=\"490\">49.3%<\/strong> of the commitments have already been fully or partially implemented, while another <strong data-start=\"554\" data-end=\"563\">42.3%<\/strong> are in progress, bringing the percentage of commitments for which substantive steps toward implementation have been taken to <strong data-start=\"602\" data-end=\"611\">91.6%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"pil4tj\" data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"761\"><strong data-start=\"699\" data-end=\"761\">Three years later, progress has been made on 143 of the 156 commitments<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"763\" data-end=\"870\">Based on data from <strong data-start=\"787\" data-end=\"803\">June 2026<\/strong>, out of the <strong data-start=\"813\" data-end=\"854\">156 verifiable pre-election commitments<\/strong> made by the government:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"872\" data-end=\"1115\">\n<li data-section-id=\"znt0f0\" data-start=\"872\" data-end=\"907\"> <strong data-start=\"874\" data-end=\"883\">20.5%<\/strong> have been fully implemented. <\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"13cmy81\" data-start=\"908\" data-end=\"944\"> <strong data-start=\"910\" data-end=\"919\">28.8%<\/strong> has been partially implemented. <\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"fmkuvx\" data-start=\"945\" data-end=\"978\"> <strong data-start=\"947\" data-end=\"956\">42.3%<\/strong> is in progress. <\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"f1ygt1\" data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1032\"> <strong data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"990\">3.85%<\/strong> has not been implemented or has been abandoned. <\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1hk9d8w\" data-start=\"1033\" data-end=\"1115\"> <strong data-start=\"1035\" data-end=\"1044\">4.49%<\/strong> cannot be assessed due to a lack of publicly available data. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tomanifesto.cachefly.net\/tomanifesto\/images\/placeholder.png\" alt=\"mail.jpg\" data-dpc-media-id=\"191342\" class=\"lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/tomanifesto.cachefly.net\/image\/large\/96\/mail.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1438\">In absolute numbers, <strong data-start=\"1140\" data-end=\"1157\">77 commitments<\/strong> have already been fully or partially implemented, while <strong data-start=\"1201\" data-end=\"1207\">66<\/strong> are still in the process of being implemented. In total, <strong data-start=\"1264\" data-end=\"1294\">143 of the 156 commitments<\/strong> have been implemented or are in progress, while only <strong data-start=\"1352\" data-end=\"1357\">6<\/strong> have not been implemented, and for <strong data-start=\"1383\" data-end=\"1388\">7<\/strong> there is insufficient public evaluation data.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1440\" data-end=\"1824\">The best performance is recorded in <strong data-start=\"1482\" data-end=\"1514\">Defense and Foreign Policy<\/strong> (<strong data-start=\"1516\" data-end=\"1523\">67%<\/strong>), in <strong data-start=\"1531\" data-end=\"1542\">Education<\/strong> (<strong data-start=\"1544\" data-end=\"1553\">62.5%<\/strong>) and in <strong data-start=\"1564\" data-end=\"1577\">the Economy<\/strong> (<strong data-start=\"1579\" data-end=\"1586\">59%<\/strong>). Even in sectors with lower rates of full implementation, such as <strong data-start=\"1666\" data-end=\"1675\">Health<\/strong> (<strong data-start=\"1677\" data-end=\"1684\">30%<\/strong>), <strong data-start=\"1689\" data-end=\"1704\">Sustainability<\/strong> (<strong data-start=\"1706\" data-end=\"1713\">33%<\/strong>) and <strong data-start=\"1722\" data-end=\"1734\">Infrastructure<\/strong> (<strong data-start=\"1736\" data-end=\"1743\">39%<\/strong>), a significant portion of the commitments\u2014ranging from <strong data-start=\"1782\" data-end=\"1797\">45% to 60%<\/strong>\u2014is already underway.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"r8bv8j\" data-start=\"1826\" data-end=\"1887\"><strong data-start=\"1829\" data-end=\"1887\">Improvement compared to 2025, as implementation accelerates<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1889\" data-end=\"2298\">The picture appears significantly improved compared to the previous assessment in <strong data-start=\"1972\" data-end=\"1992\">September 2025<\/strong>. According to <strong data-start=\"2008\" data-end=\"2017\">KEFIM<\/strong>, the commitments that are in <strong data-start=\"2051\" data-end=\"2078\">full or partial implementation<\/strong> increased by <strong data-start=\"2094\" data-end=\"2120\">11 percentage points<\/strong>, while those showing no implementation or progress decreased by <strong data-start=\"2188\" data-end=\"2213\">9 percentage points<\/strong>, reflecting the acceleration of the government program\u2019s implementation.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"69jowx\" data-start=\"2300\" data-end=\"2357\"><strong data-start=\"2303\" data-end=\"2357\">The Methodology &#8211; A tool for accountability and transparency<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2359\" data-end=\"2720\">The <strong data-start=\"2361\" data-end=\"2408\">Election Platform Implementation Index<\/strong> is a tool for monitoring <strong data-start=\"2446\" data-end=\"2472\">consistency in government action<\/strong>, by examining the extent to which commitments made to citizens prior to the elections are being fulfilled. Its goal is to provide <strong data-start=\"2612\" data-end=\"2623\">transparent<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2625\" data-end=\"2638\">reliable<\/strong>, and scientifically substantiated data for citizens, journalists, and researchers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2722\" data-end=\"2978\">The methodology is based on internationally recognized standards, such as Canada\u2019s <strong data-start=\"2788\" data-end=\"2801\">Polimeter<\/strong> in Canada and the <strong data-start=\"2820\" data-end=\"2864\">Comparative Party Pledges Project (CPPP)<\/strong>, while drawing on scholarly approaches published in leading international political science journals.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2980\" data-end=\"3396\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The president of <strong data-start=\"2995\" data-end=\"3004\">KEFIM<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"3006\" data-end=\"3024\">Nikos Rompapas<\/strong>, stated that nearly half of the government\u2019s campaign promises have already been fully or partially implemented, while another <strong data-start=\"3145\" data-end=\"3154\">42.3%<\/strong> are currently in progress.
