The member of parliament of New Democracy<\/b>, Makarios Lazaridis<\/strong>, launched a fierce attack against the opposition<\/strong> from the floor of the Parliament, arguing that the events of the past few days did not constitute the exercise of parliamentary oversight<\/strong>, nor a search for truth<\/strong> nor a defense of legitimacy<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

As he stated, this was an organized attempt at political exploitation<\/strong> of an administrative error<\/strong>, with the sole aim, as he said, to create impressions<\/strong> and bring about his political destruction<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Makarios Lazaridis<\/strong> called on those who, as he claimed, spread defamatory allegations<\/strong> against him to take responsibility for what they said, wondering whether they would apologize<\/strong> and retract the accusations<\/strong> they had hurled.
