{"id":12799,"date":"2026-06-25T14:55:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T11:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=12799"},"modified":"2026-06-25T14:55:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T11:55:00","slug":"vasilis-kikilias-4-million-euros-for-island-residents-and-businesses-to-cover-the-cost-of-transporting-liquid-fuels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.tomanifesto.gr\/?p=12799","title":{"rendered":"Vasilis Kikilias: 4 million euros for island residents and businesses to cover the cost of transporting liquid fuels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nearly<b> 4 million euros<\/b> (3,987,194.07 euros) were approved for the payment of the<b> Transportation Equivalent Fuel<\/b> for the year 2024, to<b> citizens and businesses on the islands<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The <b>payment <\/b>is carried out through the General Secretariat for the Aegean and Island Policy and concerns the measure of the <b>Transport Equivalent <\/b>for the <b>transportation of liquid fuels<\/b> to the islands during 2024.<br \/>Specifically:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For citizens, a total of 2,473,375 euros was approved for 26,655 beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<li>For businesses, a total of 1,513,818 euros was approved for 3,288 beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In a statement, the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy,<b> Vasilis Kikilias,<\/b> emphasized:<br \/>\u201cThrough the Fuel Transport Equivalent, we are returning nearly 4 million euros to citizens and businesses on our islands. This is substantial support for island communities, where fuel costs affect prices and place a burden on households and businesses.
