Against the backdrop of the Hyperidiki Route of the EKO Acropolis Rally<\/b>, Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/b> revealed which political rival he would like as a co-driver in a race car<\/b>.<\/p>\n

His answer to the question, during an interview at NewsAuto.gr and to journalist Takis Trakousellis, was disarming: \u201cSince I now had the chance to ride shotgun\u2014and when you ride shotgun with a driver in a car that doesn\u2019t have racing seats, you get dizzy\u2014 I\u2019d easily choose Alexis Tsipras because he\u2019s done so many pirouettes that if I were driving, I definitely wouldn\u2019t get dizzy<\/b>.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the interview, the prime minister spoke about his personal relationship with cars, his love of driving and the Acropolis Rally<\/b>, recalled moments from the historic Greek race, and didn\u2019t hesitate to even predict the winner of this year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n

The discussion also expanded to issues affecting citizens\u2019 daily lives. \u201cThe gas pedal is for the track. The gas pedal is for safe conditions<\/b>. That\u2019s why it\u2019s so important to have more tracks in our country. The gas pedal isn\u2019t for the road. Having driven for many decades and having all of us made our own mistakes at some point in our lives, I think we need to send a strong message of responsibility, which begins with the enforcement of the <\/b>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Regarding breathalyzer tests and ongoing checks, he noted: \u201cI think breathalyzer tests are a huge success because they\u2019re changing our fellow citizens\u2019 mindset. It\u2019s becoming part of our social consciousness, part of our social norm <\/b>and I think that is the great success of this policy, and I like the fact that when breathalyzer tests are conducted on the street\u2014and even though there may be a bit of inconvenience\u2014people don\u2019t complain in the end becausethey understand that it\u2019s for their own good.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
