This project aims to strengthen Greece&#8217;s <strong data-start=\"585\" data-end=\"609\">geostrategic role<\/strong> and improve key networks. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"661\" data-end=\"1007\">As the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Dimas said, the country is going through a period of intense <strong data-start=\"787\" data-end=\"821\">construction activity<\/strong>. And projects are acting as a lever for <strong data-start=\"861\" data-end=\"884\">economic recovery<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"892\" data-end=\"912\">sustainable development<\/strong>. At the same time, emphasis is placed on the modernisation of existing networks and the creation of new ones. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1009\" data-end=\"1351\">The European <strong data-start=\"1044\" data-end=\"1072\">connectivity corridors<\/strong> play an important role. Greece is an active participant in the Baltic-Black Sea-Aegean corridor and the Western Balkans-Eastern Mediterranean corridor. This infrastructure is not only related to transport but also extends to sectors such as <strong data-start=\"1292\" data-end=\"1304\">energy<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1308\" data-end=\"1320\">security<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1350\">supply chain<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1650\">At the same time, major projects such as the <strong data-start=\"1399\" data-end=\"1406\">E65<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1410\" data-end=\"1418\">BoAK<\/strong> and the new <strong data-start=\"1430\" data-end=\"1454\">Castelli Airport<\/strong> are progressing. These interventions enhance <strong data-start=\"1490\" data-end=\"1507\">connectivity<\/strong> and boost <strong data-start=\"1530\" data-end=\"1555\">regional development<\/strong>. At the same time, it creates new opportunities for <strong data-start=\"1602\" data-end=\"1616\">investment<\/strong> and business activity. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1652\" data-end=\"1869\">A key issue is <strong data-start=\"1678\" data-end=\"1695\">financing<\/strong>. For 2026, resources of <strong data-start=\"1738\" data-end=\"1756\">\u20ac2.36 billion<\/strong> have been earmarked. The use of funds from Greece and the EU, combined with <strong data-start=\"1824\" data-end=\"1832\">SIPs<\/strong>, accelerates the implementation of the projects. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1871\" data-end=\"2064\">The <strong data-start=\"1900\" data-end=\"1922\">engineering sector<\/strong> is also of particular importance. The quality of studies directly affects costs and schedules, while Greek <strong data-start=\"2009\" data-end=\"2024\">technical knowledge<\/strong> strengthens its position abroad. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2066\" data-end=\"2234\">At the same time, the <strong data-start=\"2087\" data-end=\"2115\">digital transformation<\/strong> in the construction sector is progressing. The use of <strong data-start=\"2155\" data-end=\"2162\">BIM<\/strong> improves design, reduces errors and enhances <strong data-start=\"2220\" data-end=\"2233\">transparency<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2236\" data-end=\"2436\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The next phase of projects is based on <strong data-start=\"2275\" data-end=\"2289\">collaboration<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2295\" data-end=\"2309\">innovation<\/strong> and better use of available resources, with infrastructure remaining at the heart of the country&#8217;s development strategy. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\n    The implementation of an extensive infrastructure programme is underway across the country.
