In response to rumors that she is moving to PASOK<\/b> was provided by Theodora Tzakri<\/b>, noting that there are currently no such discussions taking place.<\/p>\n

She stated, however, that she was certain there would be discussions between herself and the Democrats with PASOK, either before or after the elections.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Democrats and I will join the discussion when it becomes serious\u2014that is, when we talk about policy and party convergence<\/b>\u201d, she said in statements to SKAI, adding: \u201cMy hope would be for political parties to converge. Our ideological positions are adjacent.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

According to Theodora Tzakri, two strategies are currently at odds: on the one hand, as she said, the strategy of Kyriakos Mitsotakis<\/b>, which seeks support in the name of stability; and, on the other hand, the need for \u201ccleansing,\u201d which\u2014as she assessed\u2014the opposition forces must champion. When asked who could take on this role, she replied that \u201cAndroulakis, Kasselakis, definitely. And Tsipras and anyone else who wants to<\/b>,\u201d noting that cooperation is needed, not just numerical balances.<\/p>\n

Regarding Alexis Tsipras<\/b>, he argued that Tsipras is attempting to change his strategy toward Kyriakos Mitsotakis and attributes his repeated electoral defeats to a system of vested interests that, as he said, supports the government.<\/p>\n

Specifically, he noted the following: \u201cLet me tell you what Mr. Tsipras says: ‘For eight years, I\u2019ve been losing to Mitsotakis. Not because he\u2019s smart, handsome, or a better politician. I\u2019ve been losing because there\u2019s a blatant system of vested interests\u2014in the media and beyond\u2014that supported him.’\u00a0Mr. Tsipras says that this will now change; he will align himself with those interests, and this time he will defeat Mitsotakis. <\/b>\u201cBecause he\u2019ll side with those interests, and those interests will come with him,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
